Actors must have finished 2nd grade up to finished 8th grade.
Preparation
Each auditioner should come prepared to sing a short portion of a musical theater song, no more than 1 minute. Songs from Seussical Jr. are permitted, and sheet music is available at www.mtishows.com/seussical-jr in the section called “Audition Central.” You may sing a cappella or with an accompaniment track. Please be prepared to play any digital accompaniment yourself on a phone/speaker. Please do not sing a pop song.
Each auditioner will also be taught a short dance combination (in a large group of other auditioners). Wear clothes that you can move in, and closed toed shoes. No Crocs, flip flops, or sandals.
There will be no cold reads of the script until callbacks. Callback lists will be posted on Saturday, with specific songs to prepare.
