President
Two Year Term (2025-2027)

The President shall perform the duties generally associated with the office, overseeing all aspects of the organization. He/she will preside at all regular Board Meetings and all meetings of the General Membership including the Election and Annual meetings. The President shall serve as an ex-officio member on all OCT committees except the Election Committee. The President’s voting rights will be limited to voting in the event of a tie on any motion.

Second Vice President
Two Year Term (2025-2027)

The Second Vice-President shall assist the President and First Vice-President in the discharge of their duties, officiate in their absence and serve as chair of the Publicity Committee.

The Public Relations Committee shall consist of at least two members plus the Second Vice-President as Chair whose duties it shall be to maintain good relations with the community, issue press releases at the discretion of the Board, and assist in the promotion of OCT and its productions. It shall also be their duty to provide oversight of marketing for shows and season, website management, and all other social media content.

Treasurer
Two Year Term (2025-2027)

The Treasurer shall collect all monies due to OCT, pay all bills approved by the Board, and keeps an account of all receipts and expenditures. He/she shall maintain bank account(s) in the name of OCT and he/she shall provide a report at each Board, Election, and Annual meeting . The Treasurer shall serve as chair of the Finance Committee. He/she shall prepare and present a financial report for the fiscal year at the Annual Meeting.

The Finance Committee shall consist of at least two members plus the Treasurer as Chair. It shall be their duty to present a budget for the fiscal year. They can also from time to time submit supplements to the budget for the current fiscal year.


OCT General Board Requirements

Election/appointment to the Board and remaining in good standing will be subject to the following requirements:

  • All members of the Board must maintain an active General membership while holding office.
  • To be eligible to be considered for an officer position (President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) the nominee must have a working knowledge of OCT as an organization and the general working knowledge of the Board. It is therefore recommended that candidates serve a minimum of one year as a Trustee or Community Member prior to serving in an officer position.
  • All Board Members must maintain regular attendance at scheduled Board, Election, and Annual meetings. Significant unexcused absences or missing two or more consecutive meetings may be grounds for removal from office.
  • All members of the Board are expected to actively participate in OCT productions, events and committees.
  • All members of the Board will be required to sign a Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics Statement on an annual basis.
