Save the date for our upcoming General Member Meeting and Spring Elections. This meeting is the perfect opportunity to hear what’s new with OCT and get involved – Mark your calendars!

All are invited to attend, but only 2023-2024 Season Ticket Holders can vote in the elections.

General Board Requirements

Election/appointment to the Board and remaining in good standing will be subject to following requirements.

  • All members of the Board must maintain an active General Membership while holding office.  
  • To be eligible to be considered for an officer position (President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) the nominee must have a working knowledge of OCT as an organization and the general working knowledge of the Board.  It is therefore recommended that candidates serve a minimum of one year as a Trustee or Community Member prior to serving in an officer position.  
  • All Board Members must maintain regular attendance at scheduled Board, Election, and Annual meetings.  Significant unexcused absences or missing two or more consecutive meetings may be grounds for removal from office.
  • All members of the Board are expected to actively participate in OCT productions, events and committees. 
  • All members of the Board will be required to sign a Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics Statement on an annual basis. 

Open Positions

First Vice President – Two Year Term (2024-2026)

The First Vice-President shall assist the President in the discharge of his/her duties, officiate in his/her absence, and serve as chair of the Production Committee. The Production Committee shall consist of at least two members plus the First Vice-President as Chair. It shall be the duty of the committee to make recommendations to the Board as to programs, plays, directors, producers and calendar of the productions for the year. The Production Committee will also provide oversight of all technical aspects of the theater.

Secretary – Two Year Term (2024-2026)

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all OCT meetings, excluding committee meetings, and carry on the official correspondence. He/she shall keep on file all records and documents not assigned to any other officer. He/she shall maintain an official and up to date version of the Bylaws and Operations Manual and serve as chair of the Records Committee. The Records Committee shall consist of two at least two members plus the Secretary as Chair. It shall be the duty of the committee to provide oversight of the Bylaws for OCT, including interpretation of the Bylaws as needed. It will also be responsible for performing a bi-annual review of the Bylaws and Operations Manual, presenting findings to the Board of any potential obsolete or conflicting content that needs to be revised. Upon the direction of the Board, the committee will be charged with drafting new or updated content to be presented for approval.
